Visitor Rules & Etiquette
Forest Hills Cemetery is an active burial ground and a place of remembrance. To help preserve a respectful and peaceful environment for all visitors, we ask that you observe the following guidelines:
These guidelines help maintain the dignity and tranquility of the cemetery. Visitors who do not comply may be asked to leave the grounds.


Maps, Tours & Visitor Resources
A detailed map of the cemetery grounds is available at the Cemetery Office. A full-color Visitor’s Guide, featuring more than 60 points of interest and recommended self-guided tours, is available at the Visitor’s Kiosk inside the Main Gate for a suggested $1 donation to the Forest Hills Educational Trust.

Photography Overview
Visitors are welcome to photograph the cemetery’s architecture, landscape, wildlife, and sculpture. To protect the privacy of families, photography of headstones is not permitted unless conducted by the deceased’s next-of-kin or lot owner.
Photography may require advance permission or a permit. All photographers must check in at the Cemetery Office during visiting hours.
